Carat can refer to the quality or purity of gold – pure gold ie a metal that is 100% gold and nothing else but gold, is know or pure gold or 24-carat gold. Caring for and cleaning your precious Art Deco diamond ring: This ring can be cleaned with warm water,washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush. This ring can be dipped into the water, then a little washing up liquid squirted onto the piece and then gently rubbed with the toothbrush. Then leave for about five minutes. After which they can be rinsed off under warm running tap water, whilst rinsing rub gently with the toothbrush until the water runs clear. Next use kitchen towel to dry them thoroughly and polish the gold with a polishing cloth.
